Materials:

  • Soy wax or beeswax

  • Candlewick

  • Candlewick sticker or hot glue

  • Coffee fragrance oil

  • Coffee beans (optional)

  • Candle container or mold

  • Double boiler or a heat-proof glass container and a pot

  • Stirring utensil (such as a wooden spoon or spatula)

  • Thermometer

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your candle container or mold by placing a wick in the center. Use a wick sticker or hot glue to secure the wick to the bottom of the container.

  2. Melt the wax in a double boiler or a makeshift one by filling a pot with water and placing a heat-proof glass container on top. Make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the container.

  3. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the wax. Heat the wax to the recommended temperature for your specific wax type.

  4. Add coffee fragrance oil to the wax and stir well. The amount of fragrance oil will depend on your preference and the oil's strength, but a good starting point is around 1 oz (28 g) of fragrance oil per pound (454 g) of wax.

  5. Optional: Add a handful of coffee beans to the melted wax for a decorative touch and a more robust coffee scent. Make sure the beans are fully submerged in the wax.

  6. Pour the wax into the prepared container or mold, making sure to leave a little bit of space at the top. Let it cool and harden slightly.

  7. Once the wax has started to harden, gently push a few coffee beans into the surface of the wax for a textured effect. Ensure the beans are evenly spaced and not too close to the wick.

  8. Allow the wax to cool and harden completely, then trim the wick to the desired length.

  9. Your coffee-scented candle is now ready to enjoy! Light the candle and let the warm, inviting aroma of coffee fill your home.
