Instructions:

  1. Begin by melting your candle wax in a double boiler or in a heat-safe bowl over a pot of boiling water. Make sure to stir the wax regularly to prevent it from scorching.

  2. Once the wax is melted, add any candle dye or fragrance oil that you want to use. Stir well to ensure that the colour and scent are evenly distributed.

  3. While the wax is melting, prepare your cupcake mold or silicone baking cups by placing a candle wick in the center of each cup. Make sure that the wick is straight and centred in the cup.

  4. Pour the melted wax into a heat-resistant measuring cup or pitcher. This will make it easier to pour the wax into the cupcake molds.

  5. Carefully pour the melted wax into each cupcake mold, filling it about 3/4 of the way full.

  6. Use a toothpick or skewer to gently stir the wax and remove any air bubbles that may have formed.

  7. Allow the wax to cool and harden completely. This will take several hours, so be patient.

  8. Once the wax has hardened, use a small saucepan to melt a small amount of wax. This will be used as "frosting" for the cupcake candle.

  9. Once the wax is melted, remove it from the heat and pour it onto a piece of wax paper. Allow it to cool and thicken slightly.

  10. Once the wax has cooled and thickened, use a spoon to scoop it up and place it on top of the cupcake candle, forming it into a dome shape to resemble frosting.

  11. Allow the frosting to harden completely before handling the candle.

  12. Trim the wick and your cupcake candle is ready to use or give as a gift.

Tips:

  • Experiment with different colors and fragrances to create custom cupcake candles that match your decor or your personal style.

  • If you don't have a cupcake mold or silicone baking cups, you can use a muffin tin lined with cupcake liners.

  • If you want to add sprinkles or other decorations to your cupcake candle, sprinkle them on top of the wax frosting before it hardens.

By following these steps, you can create adorable and unique cupcake candles that are sure to delight you. Enjoy the process of creating and decorating your candles, and don't be afraid to get creative with colours, fragrances, and decorations.
