My first version was a unidirectional wire with a hook at one side and an unlooped part on the other for grasping onto. In the following versions, I twisted down before making loops and then turned to return. The wax dippers I twisted are much more durable and can be made longer. The longer handle is perfect for candles that are placed in large vessels or those that are difficult to reach.

All you require is two pliers and a roll of wire to begin. For example, the following is a tiny piece of stainless wire from Amazon, precisely like the one I used for mine. The roll can quickly produce 10-15 diapers based on how long you've made them.
